Black and White - Dada Drawings

Cenedella was taught how to draw by his mentor, George Grosz (1893-1959). The two met at the Arts Students League in New York City, and Cenedella was a student of his for a few years as Grosz took him under his wing. Grosz, a German artist and founder of the Dada Movement in 1918, would use his satirical drawings to attack his political enemies.

Inspired by Grosz's past works, Cenedella uses his mentor's techniques in his owner work which can be see on display here.
